The Classification of Water
The BIG question
The most important question is whether any kind of water is suitable for human usage. This is determined by identifying the most common types of water.
Water sources (Classifications) – according to Inhle Beverages
TAP water Municipal source, inconsistent mineral contents and high chemical content such as chlorine, which is cancerous and has a bitter after taste. Some may classify this as recycled state water, that may have high levels of contamination (remember this water may have passed through your neighbors kidneys 20 times over).
PURIFIED tap water
Municipal source purified through high filtration levels and has manipulated ph and mineral contents synthetic water. It may still have percentage of contamination marketed as water suitable for drinking, and as/or purified water.
SPRING water
This is naturally sourced and originates from mountain streams or a natural flow of surface ground water. High filtration to purify surface water can contain coliforms and can be exposed to agricultural contamination. Inconsistent mineral and ph levels if location of plant is incorrect. Marketed as natural spring water or purified spring water.
MINERAL water
This is naturally sourced and is of highest natural filtration purity due to the depth of the source, typically 80 meters below surface. This water is high in minerals. The location of the plant is of critical importance and must be protected to avoid contaminating the mineral water deep below the surface of the earth. Marketed as natural mineral water or mineral water.
Distilled water
This water is physically and chemically the “purest” form of water, containing no minerals, elements or characteristics other than total purity. When distilled water is consumed, it acts as a purgative, stripping the body of trace elements and minerals. Distilled water cannot be regarded as being good for the body. It is often referred to as “Dead Water”.
Reverse osmosis filtered water
This water has similar characteristics to distilled water, as the process involves filtering out the essential mineral and trace elements.
Vivant Pure Water
The water bottled for Vivant Pure Water, is natural mineral water, sourced deep below the surface in the hills of Heidelberg. There is no interference with the natural water, besides the filtration process.
