Vivant and Recycling

Why use PET – Vivant supports Recycling
Vivant Pure Water uses PET because it is 100% recyclable and therefore environmental friendly. Vivant Pure Water also uses PET plastic because of its strength, durability, thermo-stability, transparency and weight.

Bottled products, such as water, sports drinks, juices, soft drinks, alcoholic drinks etc are very common in most countries. PET plastic (PolyEthylene Terephthalate) is used to make containers for such beverages. All these beverage containers “plastic-bottles” are rated with a grading number, indicating the material that has been used. The grading range from a number 1 to a number 7. PET is labelled with a number #1 which indicates that it’s recyclable. This distinctive recycling logo is stamped onto the bottom of these products.

Why do Vivant Pure Water use PET?
PET is:
  • Recyclable: On the environmental side PET is nature-friendly because of it’s 100% recyclable capability.
  • Reusable: A great positive is that the PET bottle poses no danger when being refilled or reused.
  • Safe for our children: PET is transparent, shatter proof, and unbreakable.
  • User-friendly: PET is easy to handle, light in weight and sustainable.
  • Strong: Carbonated soft drinks (CSD’s) can generate pressure inside the PET bottle reaching up to 6 bar pressure.

Job crearion
Plastic bottle recycling leads to job creation all over the world. When PET bottles are discarded, they are delivered to a PET Recycling Plant, where they are coloured, rated, sorted, washed, etc. They are then cut into recycled PET (rPET) pellets. These rPET pellets are then used across the World to manufacture new products in example fabrics, such as athletic shoes, T-shirts, sweaters or fibre carpets and even automobile parts such as bumpers and grills.
