Typical Analysis
Vivant is natural mineral water.
Vivant is microbiologically pure and tested in an independent laboratory on a regular basis. SABS approved and zero chemicals added
Vivant Pure Water uses a Bottler of natural mineral water, which source is located on a farm in the Hills of Heidelberg, South Africa.
Our Bottler's water source is amongst the purest natural sources available, and they do not interfere with the natural product, other than filtration prior to bottling Vivant natural Mineral Water.
Our manufacturer's process is approved by the South African Bureau of Standards, and is one of very few mineral water Bottlers whose product carries the SABS mark of approval.
We invite you to try-out Vivant Natural Mineral Water – put it to the test for yourself!

Calcium (Ca++)
Calcium helps to maintain healthy teeth and bones. Muscle activity relies on calcium and is needed for muscle growth. Calcium and Magnesium combined provides electricity for the heart. Calcium also ensures for a regular heartbeat and the transmission of nerve impulses, and is responsible for the transfer of information between brain cells. A shortage of Calcium in the human body may however increase the risk of heart disease, high blood pressure (hypertension), arthritis, gout, increased cholesterol levels, headaches, asthma, heart disease, allergies, low back pain, muscle cramps, insomnia, etc
Note: High blood pressure is referred to as a "silent" disease and may lead to heart disease, stroke, etc.
Magnesium (Mg++)
Magnesium is essential for strong bones and healthy cells. Drinking a lot of water helps the body to easily absorb magnesium, and therefore contributes to magnesium deficiencies. Magnesium works together with calcium to help body muscles contract, and as mentioned combined with Calcium it’s eletrisity for the heart. In summary, it’s a essential mineral that is required for the health of living cells, the normal function of muscles and heart tissues. The human body needs magnesium for the metabolism of calcium, potassium, vitamin C, sodium, etc. Magnesium also contributes in fighting depression
Sodium (Na+)
Sodium helps the body to store water and minerals, and is essential for the exchange of water between cells. Sodium is to be found in all body fluids, including blood, and its purpose is to stabilize the balance of fluids within the human body. Sodium is vital for the working of muscles, enabling the necessary contractions. Without sodium, muscles and nerves would cease to function properly, and the absorption of major nutrients would be stopped. When this happens, the body will fail to maintain an adequate water and mineral equilibrium (balance).
Too much sodium is however unhealthy, but a lack of sodium may lead to certain illnesses, muscle cramps, weakness and in some cases even a break down of vital body functions, which will lead to certain and serious malfunctions in the human body.
Potassium (K+)
Potassium is one of the key nutrients in the human body, enabling it to run efficiently and smoothly. Potassium is needed for the “management” of water in the cells and helps to maintain the balance of fluid in cells, therefore helping to prevent dehydration as well as an excess of fluid retention. Potassium also releases energy from various foods during metabolism, and is also responsible for the transmission of nerve impulses and for muscle contractions.
Chlorine (Cl-)
Chlorine together with sodium forms our normal salt. And almost all bottled mineral water contains chloride and sulphate ions. It’s a known fact that too much salt is unhealthy, but none at all may lead to serious malfunction in our body as well. Chlorine together with sodium are used to maintain osmotic pressure in the cells. As part of the digestive acids in the stomach it plays an important role in the digestion. Chlorine is also used to purify water.
Sulphate (SO4--)
Sulfate is a substance that’s naturally present in drinking water.However, high levels of sulfate may cause diarrhea.
Alkalinity / Acidity (PH)
The PH indicates whether water is more alkaline or more acidic. When the pH of water is 7, we say it is neutral, which means that the acid content and alkaline content of the water is equal. Mineral water should be neutral, as close to 7 as possible. It is a well known fact that alkaline water, in other words water with a pH of more than 7, is good for our bodies whilst acidic, water (with a pH value lower than 7) is bad for our bodies. Likewise alkaline foods are healthier than acidic foods.
Nitrate (NO3-)
Nitrate (NO3-) is a water-soluble molecule made up of oxygen and nitrogen. Water naturally contains less than 1 milligram of nitrate-nitrogen per one litre.Having excessive concentrations of nitrates and nitrogen in water is not healthy. High nitrate concentrations can be particularly harmful for infants under six months, because nitrate interferes with the ability of blood to carry oxygen.
Fluoride (F-)
Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral that is found in water. Fluoride is necessary for building bones and teeth. Teeth with fluoride are less prone to caries. However, too much fluoride will colour teeth if it’s taken over a long period of time, and may lead to changes in the bone structure. Many types of toothpaste contain fluoride to keep the teeth strong and healthy.
Total Dissolved Salts (T.D.S)
Total dissolved salts represent the amount of inorganic substances like sodium, sulphate chloride, etc that are dissolved in bottled water. The TDS is in other words the measure of the Total Dissolved Salts in the water and sometimes incorrectly referred to as Total Dissolved Solids. Reverse Osmosis (RO) water contains very little to no minerals, and therefore will have a very low TDS score.
Why buy bottled water like Vivant?
Because most tap water in S.A and in most countries worldwide are not safe for human consumption due to environmental and industrial pollution. Harmful bacteria, and chemicals etc. routinely penetrates and pollute our natural water sources as seen on the News, making people sick, and cause all sorts of health problems or even unnecessary deaths. Invest in your general health and rather buy bottled or purified water, because you’re worth it!
